Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days

It's that time of year again! One of the Lake of the Ozark's most popular winter events is upon us. As the majestic eagles migrate through our area, it's the perfect time to get a peek at one of these birds. With a ton of educational and hands-on activities available, Eagle Days at the Lake of the Ozarks is a highly anticipated event each winter. Come out this weekend - 1/5 & 1/6 - for this unique experience. Take a look below to learn about the details of this fantastic event!

Eagle Days 2019

Event Venues: Osage National Golf Club, Willmore Lodge, School of the Osage Heritage Elementary and the Bagnell Dam Access Conservation Area.

Get out your coats, hats and gloves for one of the most popular winter events at the Lake of the Ozarks. View eagles and other birds of prey in the wild and as a part of the World Bird Sanctuary and Dickerson Park Zoo presentations. The first live eagle program held in 1999 attracted 651 participants. Last year, over 3,700 people attended to make it one of the most successful Eagle Days in years past.

Highlights of the event include live eagles from the World Bird Sanctuary with naturalists on hand to answer questions at Osage National Golf Resort. Programs will begin on the hour each day of the event. Visitors are urged to bring binoculars and cameras for optimal viewing and photo opportunities of wild eagles at Willmore Lodge and below Bagnell Dam on the Osage River. Activities are also at School of the Osage Heritage Elementary and at the Osage River Access.

Continue the Fun at Bridal Cave

After you check out the breathtaking views and learn more about our national bird, continue the fun and learning at Bridal Cave. Stop by the best cave at the Lake of the Ozarks and participate in a tour. Tours are conducted over concrete pathways through the Cave’s refreshing 60 degree environment. Park interpreters will lead you and your family through room after room of incredible mineral deposits. Giant columns, delicate soda straws and massive draperies abound throughout the cave. Millions of years of struggle between water and rock have created this cavern with more onyx formations than any other known cave or cavern. It's a great way to spend time with your family!

Here at Best Lake Attractions, we know how important it is to get your kids out and enjoy the beautiful nature in our area. As you make time to learn about these spectacular creatures, it's a great opportunity to spend time with your friends and family.
