Welcome to Bear Bottom Resort!
The name, Bear Bottom Resort, was inspired by our family’s love for the outdoors and our children’s love of spending the summer barefoot.
Originally built in 1959 by Mr. Eddie Bryant, the resort opened as The Holly Air Resort, boasting such “lavish” amenities as air conditioned rooms, electricity and a pool. The Bear Bottom Resort family purchased the resort on August 1, 2008, and immediately started to renovate, repair and re-invent a classic lakefront resort.
This 58 acre resort features lakefront rental units, two restaurants, three bars, an RV park and campground, two waterslides, 38 covered boat slips, gift shop and a boat ramp.
Their children may text rather than talk, and TVs are all in color these days…but the memory of a boat ride or the thrill of hooking the first fish of the weekend will ALWAYS trump making the high score on a video game. Enjoy your time at this resort and come as often as you can!
Campground:
Be one of the first to enjoy Lake of the Ozarks' newest campground. Reservations are being accepted now for one of the 50 RV sites. There are plenty of mature shade trees, campfire pits and a picnic table at every site. RV sites are spacious and shaded. The entire park is within easy walking distance of the lake and available boat slips. All campers enjoy the use of the resort pool and boat ramp as well as enjoying the endless hiking possibilities of 58 acres of woodlands.
Restaurant:
The Resort Restaurant is beautifully located on the water. Featuring both covered and open air seating facing the west, you may enjoy some of the best sunsets of your life. As the sun goes down, get ready to enjoy the hottest live music acts at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Waterslides:
Get ready to scream your way into summer fun on the Bear Bottom Waterslides. Missouri’s Number 1 and Number 2 longest open flume body waterslides are waiting for you to enjoy. Over 700 feet long, kids young and old alike are sure to enjoy this lakeside attraction. While you are resting between runs, swim up to our poolside bar and enjoy the coldest beer at the lake, or order up a frozen specialty drink that is guaranteed to cool you down. If you want to stay dry while the kids play, sunbathe on our huge lakeside decks, while our staff brings you your favorite beverage.
