5 Exciting Activities to Enjoy This Spring at the Lake of the Ozarks
We are thrilled that Spring is officially here next week and we bet you are ready to get out and enjoy it! The Lake of the Ozarks offers so many fun things to do for people of all ages and interests. Of course, we know that many people are attracted to the Lake for the boating and fishing! But the Lake also has some of the most scenic hiking trails in the state of Missouri. The Lake of the Ozarks does not disappoint when it comes to the food and drink options either. Whatever your taste buds are craving, you are sure to find it here. 1) Boating/Fishing
If boating and fishing is your thing, Bear Bottom Resort it the place to know! With the convenience of the RV Park and cottages available, you can wake up and get right on the water. You will enjoy having access to the boat slips and/or ramp and the benefit of our gas pumps as well. If you don’t have a boat, you may even rent one nearby!
2) Hiking
The Ozarks are SO pretty all year round. Have you ventured out much BEFORE the leaves
come out? You can see even more of the
lake and the hills, rocks, and bluffs when there is no foliage. Bear Bottom Resort has 58 acres of woodlands
with endless opportunities for hiking and enjoying the outdoors.
3) Dining
If you find yourself feeling hungry after all that outdoor
activity, stop in for a bite to eat and a refreshing beverage. Bear Bottom Resort’s Bear inspired menu
offers a great variety of mouthwatering foods with a handy lake front location

early this summer to enjoy live music every Saturday and Sunday on the covered
deck stage while the kids have fun at the game room nearby!
4) Caving
If caving is your thing, you will absolutely LOVE
experiencing Bridal Cave. It is
considered one of the most scenic caves in America with such diversity in
formations ranging from soda straws, to draperies, giant columns, and more onyx
formations than any other known cave or cavern.
But perhaps the most striking feature of the cave is Mystery Lake. This lake glows a beautiful green with
crystal clear water deep within Bridal Cave.
With a tour, you will get to see all of these treasures AND have your
picture taken in this breathtaking backdrop of natural beauty. Don’t forget to stop at the scenic overlook
on your way out to get a selfie with the lake in the background!
5) Shopping
If you love shopping … think about taking home some souvenirs of all these experiences by visiting the gift shops of Bridal Cave AND Bear Bottom Resort. You will find fun, lake inspired shirts, tanks, and shorts, as well as life jackets, towables, and water toys at Bear Bottom Resort. At Bridal Cave you will find some of the most unique and perfect gifts to remember your adventures in the Ozarks. You can buy your own geodes to break while you are there.
